Idaho Massage Schools

Wednesday, December 7th, 2005

Idaho is considered a Freedom Of Access state which means each individual city and town makes their law or regulation for massage therapy.

If you are considering an Idaho Massage School, look for an accredited massage school which offers a minimum of 500 hours of training and prepares you for the national certification exam.

In addition, I’d recommend that you look to pass the national certification exam. This will accomplish two things:

1. If you want to do massage therapy in a specific town or city, you may be able to use the national certification as proof of your professional credentials.

2. If Idaho ever changes to a full state-wide licensure, like other states offer, the national certification would probably be recognized as an existing massage license and you would be “upgraded” to the new license with minimal fuss.
