Arkansas Massage Schools

Monday, October 31st, 2005

The beautiful state of Arkansas has over 2000 licensed massage therapists.

Arkansas Licensure is categorized into three types: Massage Therapist, Master Massage Therapist, and Instructor. At the time of this writing, license fees ranged from $30-45 per year and there is a yearly requirement of 6 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) to keep your license active.

Therapists who are already nationally certified are in luck: Arkansas recognizes the National Certification Exam for the state licensure. To learn more about the National Certification for Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, please click here.

What you need from an Arkansas Massage School:

You will need a minimum of 500 hours of training from an accredited massage school to qualify for the state exam. This exam is written, so if the Arkansas massage school you choose offers coaching to prepare their students for the exam, that’s a definite bonus.
