Local Massage Schools

Aloha! Along with beautiful weather, Hawaii boasts over 4000 licensed massage therapists. In this state, they make the following licensure distinction: there are Massage Therapists and Massage Apprentices.

Hawaii Massage Schools are required by law to require a minimum of 570 hours of training for their graduates. While this is similar to many other states, Hawaii does not recognize the National Certification Exam as an alternative to studying at a Hawaii Massage School.

Those massage therapists looking to relocate to sunny Hawaii, won’t be able to use their national certification to gain a Hawaiian state license for massage therapy.

Renewal is required every 2 years at a modest fee of $120 and no continuing education credits are required.
